Simon Husted

Simon Husted is the Marketing & Communications Manager at Shared Mobility Inc., where he leads external communications for Reddy Bikeshare and other SMI projects. His work focuses on communicating the benefits of shared mobility, building strong relationships with community partners, and helping the public better understand and access bikeshare.

Since joining SMI in 2022, Simon has combined his background in journalism and urban planning with his passion for bicycling and sustainable transportation. He holds a B.S. in News Journalism from Kent State University and a Master’s in Urban Planning & Development from Cleveland State University. He is also a Certified Tourism Ambassador.

Simon was named Buffalo’s 2022 Cyclist of the Year and bikes approximately 7,000 miles each year, primarily for work and everyday errands. His experience as a year-round cyclist gives him a firsthand perspective on how bicycling and shared mobility can connect people to their communities.

Outside of work, Simon enjoys hiking, weightlifting, dancing, and, of course, biking.
