Project Mover

More than an e-bike program, Project MOVER is connecting communities, expanding opportunity, and giving Westchester residents the freedom to go further.

Project MOVER Bikeshare in Westchester County, NY

Bringing Communities Together to Expand Clean Transportation

Through Project MOVER, Shared Mobility, Inc. (SMI) is expanding access to clean, affordable transportation in Westchester County’s Rivertowns. Since 2024, SMI has led the deployment of three community-based e-bike programs across the region.

Project MOVER is a recipient of the New York Clean Transportation Prizes, administered by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA). The project is led by InnoEnergy and brings together SMI, Nelson\Nygaard, Cityfi, and six Westchester County municipalities: the Town of Ossining and the villages of Ossining, Tarrytown, Sleepy Hollow, Croton-on-Hudson, and Dobbs Ferry.
The consortium also includes community-based organizations Neighbors Link, Open Door Family Medical Center, IFCA, and Hudson Link, as well as MTA Metro-North Railroad, Croton E-Bikes, Danny’s Cycles, and Sleepy Hollow Bikes.

Mobility hubs can range from large, highly visible transportation centers to smaller neighborhood or campus locations. Rather than applying a single model everywhere, we help our partners develop a network of hubs that responds to the transportation needs and opportunities of each location.
