An All-Electric CarShare Has Launched in Rural Towns In California

Updated: Sep 9, 2022

Former Executive Director of Buffalo CarShare, Creighton Randall along with his Team at Mobility Development Partners, has facilitated one of the first all electric car sharing programs in California’s San Joaquin Valley. Miocar currently operates in Arvin, Danuba, Lamont, Orosi, Visalia, and Wasco providing affordable hourly car use 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Once a member, users can reserve a car up to 15 minutes in advance for day trips or hourly errands. Rates start as low as $4.00 per hour.

“We are happy to provide this alternative to car ownership for people who really need it.” - Creighton Randall, Mobility Development.

The Team at Shared Mobility Inc. provided operational training and support for this project. Lessons learned from Buffalo CarShare are now being used as groundwork to help launch Miocar. Miocar, an independent nonprofit organization, will learn independently from SMI as every community's needs are different and so should their programs.
