Working with the Capital District Transportation Authority and the Capital District Transportation Council, SMI has facilitated the launch of car sharing in Albany and Troy, New York. As a Team, we are excited to take some of the lessons learned from Buffalo CarShare and help spin off an independently and locally run nonprofit organization that properly serves the Capital Region. We believe the nonprofit and local model serves smaller cities more effectively than for-profit models.
